भारतीय क्षेत्र में बैरन एवम नार्कोंडम नाम के दो ज्वालामुखी द्वीप है।

रांची के पठार को छोटा नागपुर के नाम से भी जाना जाता है।

 लक्षद्वीप समूह में द्वीप की संख्या 36 हैं।

 लक्षद्वीप समूह में कुल 10 द्वीपो पर ही मानव वास करते हैं।

भारत में सियाचीन को सफेद पानी के नाम से भी जाना जाता हैं।

 जम्मू कश्मीर का वह हिस्सा जो चीन के अधिकार में है उसे औकसाई चीन के नाम से जानते हैं।

 मन्नार की खाड़ी और पाक जल डमरूमध्यभारत, को श्री लंका से अलग करता है।

 बंगाल की खाड़ी में अण्डमान व निकोबार द्वीपसमूह के ग्रेट निकोबार का दक्षिणी छोर जिसे इन्दिरा प्वाइंट कहते हैं, भारत का दक्षिणी तम बिंदु कहते हैं।

 करक रेखा भारत के 8 राज्यो से होकर गुजरती हैं।

 करक रेखा भारत के गुजरात,राजस्थान,मध्यप्रदेश, छत्तीसगढ़, झारखंड, पश्चिम बंगाल,त्रिपुरा, और मिजोरम से होकर गुजरती हैं।

 भारत उत्तरी गोलार्ध में स्थिति है। भारत की जलवायु उष्ण मानसूनी है।

 भारत की भौगोलिक सीमा 7 देशों से लगी हुई हैं।

 भारत की भौगोलिक सीमा पाकिस्तान, चीन, अफगानिस्तान, नेपाल,भूटान, म्यामार, बांग्लादेश से मिलती है।

23.30 डिग्री एंक्षास भारत को दो भागों में विभाजित करती हैं।
