डीडवाना झील राजस्थान में हैं। पुलीकट झील तमिलनाडु में है। जयसमंद झील राजस्थान में हैं। हुसैन सागर झील राजस्थान में हैं।

 लोनार झील महाराष्ट्र में है। लोक टक, झील मणिपुर में है। नैनी झील नैनीताल- उत्तराखंड में है।

पिछौला झील उदयपुर - राजस्थान में हैं। डल झील कश्मीर में है। वेंबानाद झील केरल राज्य में है।

हैदराबाद और सिकांन्द्राबाद के बीच हुसैन सागर झील स्थित हैं। भारत की सबसे बड़ी झील चिल्का झील उड़ीसा राज्य में स्थित हैं।

 जयपुर के निकट - राजस्थान में सांभर झील नमक की सबसे बड़ी झील है। भारत की मीठे पानी की सबसे बड़ी झील बूलर झील कश्मीर में स्थित है।

 कश्मीर की बूलर झील विवर्तानिक प्रकार की झील का उदाहरण हैं। भारत की लैगून झील चिल्का,पुलीकट, पेरियार झील को कहते है।

Pichola lakes are in Udaipur - Rajasthan.  Dal Lake is in Kashmir.  Vembanad Lake is located in the state of Kerala.

Hussain Sagar Lake is situated between Hyderabad and Secunderabad.  India's largest lake Chilika Lake is located in the state of Orissa.

Sambhar Lake is the largest salt lake in Rajasthan near Jaipur.  The largest lake of India's freshwater lake, the Buler Lake, is located in Kashmir.

Kashmir's Bular lake is an example of a tectonic type of lake.  India's lagoon lake is called Chilka, Pulicat, Periyar Lake.
